Markings:  Left side of the receiver is marked “Remington 870 Magnum C830812M”.  The left side of the barrel is marked, “12GA. USE 2 ¾ OR 3  /  CYL”.  The right side of the barrel is marked, “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, NY” with “REP” and proofs near the chamber.  The right side of the foregrip is marked, “MOE 870”. The buttpad is marked, “Remington”.  The right side of the receiver is marked, “MARINE MAGNUM”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed bead to a double faced ramp fixed to the barrel. There are no rear sights but the top of the receiver is slightly grooved for alignment purposes.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is checkered polymer with traditional pistol grip, a soft rubber recoil buttpad, and sling swivel on the belly of the buttstock. The forend is checkered polymer.  There is a sling swivel below the magtube/barrel band.  There are no chips or cracks.  There are some light scratches on the polymer surfaces.  The checkering is crisp with some of the peaks slightly dulled.  The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.  The swivels are equipped with nylon strap/rope hybrid sling.

Bore Condition: The smooth bore is bright. The middle portion of the bore has some minor wear.

Overall Condition:  This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few light scratches but the finish remains exceptionally clean.  There are a couple very small spots or corrosion on the left side of the barrel between the marking and the chamber. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly.  We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
