Markings: The frame and barrel have floral engraving. The bottom inside of the frame is marked, “67745 / S.P.A. VINCENZO BERNARDELLI / GARDONE V.T. (BRESCIA) ITALIA” with proof marks. The forend is marked, “67745 / 38” The barrels are marked, “67745 / VINCENZO BERNARDELLI GARDONE V.T. / 38” and “JERRY G DOBSON” electro stenciled on the underside of the rib. There are various proof marks throughout. The buttplate has the Bernardelli logo.
Barrel Length: 25 1/8”
Choke: Fixed, Improved Modified, Cylinder.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white bead set on top of the knurled rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This shotgun has a two piece checkered walnut stock set with a button release splinter forend, straight wrist, straight comb with a serrated plastic buttplate. There is light scratching and pressure dents throughout. The checkering is smooth but unworn. The LOP measures 14″ from the front trigger to the rear of the buttplate. The stock is lightly cast for a right handed user. The comb has a drop of 1 ?” at the front and 2 ½” at the back. Overall the stocks are in Excellent condition as a C&R.
Type of Finish: Blued, Case Color.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: Both bores are mirror bright with some faint making at the end of the barrel. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion, the bores rate at a 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some light thinning and scuffs on the barrel. The thinning is mostly on top of the rib. The action has some very faint wear from use. Overall, this shotgun is in Excellent condition as a C&R.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards. The action locks up smoothly and tight.
