Our Assessment: This is a Winchester Model 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine made in 1914 and chambered in .25-20 Winchester. This rifle is in Good-plus condition, showing its age at more than 110 years old. This vintage rifle has seen nearly all of the 20th Century and will still make a nice addition to a collection in the 21st. The .25-20 is still a very viable small game, fur bearing, and trapping cartridge. This 1892 carbine will make a great addition to a Winchester collection missing an 1892 and may also be a good candidate for restoration. Please see our photos and good luck!
