Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “Anschutz-Exemplar XIV”.  The right side of the barrel is marked “for cal. .22 l.r. only / read instructions before using”.  The left side of the barrel is marked with a Nitro Eagle Proof, “KA” Date code, and an Ulm Antler Proof.  The left side of the receiver is marked with a Nitro Eagle Proof.  The top of the receiver is marked “ANSCHUTZ”.  The bolt is marked with a Nitro Eagle.  The right side of the receiver is marked “J.G. Anschutz GmbH West-Germany 1361104P”. The top of the rear sight hood is marked “UP< / KR”.

Barrel Length: 14” Bull Barrel

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a hooded rectangular post screwed to a metal base on the barrel. The rear sight is a fully adjustable rectangular notch sight with a hood screwed to its sides.  The rear sight is mounted to the receiver’s claw mount rails.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one piece synthetic grip and frame.  The stock finish is a red/glitter enamel. The surfaces are smooth.  There are light signs of handling.  The rear of the stock where the stock meets the receiver has a chip.  There are some light scratches around the edges of the grip. Overall, the stock rates in Fine condition.

Type of Finish: Blued

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.  There is some minor fouling and a small patch of rust at the muzzle.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 90% of its finish. The action has minor operational wear. There is some rust at the rear of the receiver around the scope rail.  The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. There is finish loss around the front and rear sight.  The trigger pull is extremely light.  The bolt fires on its own 2 times out of 5.  This pistol will need to be serviced by a gunsmith before it’s safe to handle.   Overall the pistol rates in Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The trigger pull is extremely light.  The bolt fires on its own 2 times out of 5.  This pistol will need to be serviced by a gunsmith before it’s safe to handle and the trigger adjusted.
