Action Type: Internal mag fed bolt action.

Markings: This rifle has the serial number on the top of the receiver and “WINCHESTER TRADE MARK” on the left side. The barrel is marked “32 W.S.” with Winchester proof marks. There is also “MODEL 54 – WINCHESTER NICKLESTEEL – TRADEMARK” and “MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. PATENTS APPLIED FOR”

Barrel Length: 24”

Sights / Optics:  Front dovetail sight with a brass bead. The rear sight is a 2 position flip up notch rear sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is wood with a semi-pistol grip and a straight comb. It has checkering on the forend and grip. The checkering is not worn, the wood has minor pressure dents and some large scratches on the left side. Overall it rates at good condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: None.

Finish Originality:  Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright but the rifling is worn.  There is no erosion in the bore. In my opinion the bore rates 7/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish.  There is very little operation wear. Most of the wear is reserved for the handguard where the wood is damaged. The receiver has a few light scratches and faint drag lines.  Overall, this rifle rates in about very good condition.

Mechanics:  The action function correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
