Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”. The right side of the barrel is marked “S.&W. 357 MAGNUM”. The crane cut is marked with the serial number above “MOD. 66”. The left side of the frame has the S&W monogram logo. The right side of the frame, below the cylinder, is marked with the four-line Marcas Registradas address. The rear of the cylinder is stamped with a “V”. The sides of the grip frame and yoke have inspection marks. The rear face of the ejector star is marked with the serial number. The butt of the grip frame is marked with the serial number. There is no date stamp on the inside of the grips but the grips are correct for the model. The sides of the grip frame are marked with inspection marks.
Barrel Length: 4” Pinned
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade with a red insert set on a serrated elevated base that is integral to the rib, which is serrated for glare reduction. The rear sight is a white-outlined square notched sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece Goncalo Alves checkered Target Stocks with a speedloader cut and S&W medallions. There are a few light compressions. There are a few little dings through the finish, most noticeable on the bottom face and on the top of the right grip. There are a few little marks into the edges that border the checkering. The checkering is sharp. Overall, the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some swirl marks and draglines from use and storage. There is a small scuff on the bottom of the trigger guard and in front. The barrel rib at the left of the ramp has a small nick as well as two small marks on the front of the front sight. The cylinder has a crisp turn line. The screw heads are sharp to lightly worn. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lockup produces minimal side-to-side movement. The double-action is smooth and the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
