Our Assessment:  Alright folks, today we’re talking about the 6.5 Grendel, which is a cartridge that was specifically designed for the AR-15 platform and in which this particular rifle utilizes well. Now, this cartridge was developed in the early 2000s by Bill Alexander (Alexander Arms) and Janne Pohjoispää, and it was designed to address some of the shortcomings of the standard 5.56mm round.

So, what makes the 6.5 Grendel different from the 5.56mm? Well, for starters, it has a larger bullet diameter – specifically, it uses a .264″ diameter bullet. This larger bullet diameter means that the 6.5 Grendel has better ballistics and retains its energy better at longer ranges than the 5.56mm.

Additionally, the 6.5 Grendel has a longer case than the 5.56mm, which allows it to hold more powder and generate higher velocities. This translates to better terminal ballistics, especially at longer ranges.

But the real kicker here is that the 6.5 Grendel can be used in a standard AR-15 platform rifle with a few modifications. You’ll need a new barrel and bolt, but other than that, the rifle can remain largely the same. And that’s where this rifle shines.  It has been meticulously configured by its previous owner to truly harness the benefits of the 6.5 Grendel.  With a, might I say, sniper length 24” Stainless Steel Barrel and 6.5 Grendel BCG, this rifle can handle sustained fire from this powerful round.  Equipped with a bipod for precision sniping at long ranges and the more important and beautiful (FAKE) Leupold Mark 4 Scope, this rifle should be a dream to shoot on the range.

So, how does it shoot? Well, the 6.5 Grendel is known for its accuracy and flat trajectory. It’s also relatively low recoil, which makes it a great option for both target shooting and hunting.

All in all, this 6.5 Grendel Precision Rifle is a solid choice for anyone looking for a rifle that can provide better long-range performance than the standard 5.56mm AR-15.  Please see our specs below, photos, and good luck on your bid!
