Markings: The top of the receiver is marked with a bullet-shaped trademark stamp. The right side of the receiver is marked with the US Patents and “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.”. The left side of the receiver is marked with “MODEL OF 1927 A1 NO. 1301” “THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE / CALIBER .45 AUTOMATIC CARTRIDGE” “FIRE/SAFE”. The rear sight is marked with numbers”1-6”. The Cutts Comp is marked with the Thompson bullet trademark.

Barrel Length: 11.5” 12.5” with Cutts Compensator.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed to the Cutts Compensator.  The rear sight is a notch sight that flips up into a ladder aperture sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: This Thompson pistol has no buttstock. The pistol grip and handguard are wood with finger grooves. The bottom of the handguard has a sling ring.  The stocks rate in Very Good condition.  There are a few compression marks and light scratches. There are no chips or cracks or notable nicks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 90% of its original finish. There are scratches in the metal throughout the rifle but is consistent with normal use and operation. Some light thinning of the leading edges. The screw heads are sharp and serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall this pistol rates in about Fine overall condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly.  We did not fire this pistol.  As with all used firearms, a proper cleaning may be necessary to meet all your maintenance needs.
