Markings: The top of the receiver is marked with a bullet-shaped trademark stamp. The right side of the receiver is marked with “AUTO-ORDNANCE CORPORATION WEST HURLEY, NEW YORK, U.S.A.”. The left side of the receiver is marked with “THOMPSON SEMI-AUTOMATIC CARBINE CALIBER .45M1 NO. M17180” and “FIRE/SAFE”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade front sight with a rear aperture battle sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The fixed buttstock, pistol grip, and forestock are walnut wood with smooth surfaces.The handguard has finger grooves. The receivers are steel and there is a trap in the buttplate for a storage compartment. The LOP is 16.75” from front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rate in Excellent overall condition with minimal handling wear. There are some scratches and compression marks on the pistol grip.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear. There are some scratches on the receiver and some operation wear where the charging handle reciprocates. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This Thompson comes with its attached tan canvas sling. There is some corrosion on the metal fittings as well as some staining on the material.
