Markings: The left of the receiver, below the bolt-channel, is marked “BARRETT FIREARMS MFG., INC. / MURFREESBORO TN U.S.A.”, the right is marked “MODEL 99 4012”. The bolt is marked “03-06 193” and hand-scribed “PMP”. The top of the barrel just forward of the receiver has inspection marks, the front is marked “50 BMG”. The top of the brake is marked with a “BARRETT” logo. The scope is marked, “144901R LEUPOLD MARK 4”. The top of the BORS is marked, “BARRETT OPTICS” and the bottom is maked, “S/N:02516 U.S.PATENT MODEL: BORS 6862832”. The adjustment dial is marked “¼ MOA/CLICK”.

Sights / Optics: The top of the receiver has a 13.75″ 27 MOA picatinny rail installed. This rifle comes with a M107 – MARK 4 LR/T 4.5-14X50MM Leupold Scope paired with a very rare BORS (Barrett Optical Ranging System)
Weight: 23 lb. including bipod.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a checkered and serrated black plastic A2-style with finger grooves. The forend is integral to the monolithic receiver and has a mounting point for the included bipod assembly. The buttplate assembly has a black rubber pad and can house an adjustable monopod. The stocks have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: The receiver and buttplate assemblies have Type III Hard Anodize undercoats with a black Cerakote over-coat. The barrel and trigger assembly are parkerized.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99.9% of its metal finish. The rifle shows no operational wear. This rifle was bought new in 2006 and hasn’t been fired apart from the factory test round that is also included with this rifle with the inspection tag notes. The pin heads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes in a black Pelican 1750 case with closed-cell foam cut out for the rifle and scope, two cuts of appropriate size for cartridge boxes currently holding a manual, spent factory cartridge, cleaning kit, Leupold manuals, inspection tags, OTIS manual mini-CD Instruction, OTIS cleaning kit and Leupold cloth. The case has light storage wear, in about Fine-plus condition. The highlight of this package is the BORS that comes with this rifle. Please see our photos.

The 50 BMG is undoubtedly the most popular cartridge in the hearts of firearm aficionados for its rich history and even richer stopping power. This 99 is in Excellent condition, bought new, and hasn’t been fired. But what makes this sweet package 100x sweeter is the BORS that comes with it. The BORS (Barrett Optical Ranging System) is a very special piece of technology that mounts to the top of the Mark 4 Scope. It contains an integrated ballistics computer manufactured by Barrett Firearms to accurately calculate thousands of tables and accounts for real time changing factors including range, temp, humidity, pressure, etc… The system is an extremely sought after piece of tech as it puts lead on target with supreme efficiency. It turns the knobs of the scope to the perfect position so pulling the trigger = hitting the target.
