Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “P.BERETTA – MADE IN ITALY / 12 GA. 2 ¾ AND 3 IN. SHOT SHELLS – 26IN.”.  The left side of the receiver is marked “P.BERETTA AL390 SILVER MALLARD-12 GA.”.  The right side of the receiver is marked “P.BERETTA / MADE IN ITALY”.  The bottom of the receiver is marked with several proofs with the date code “BH”.

Barrel Length: 26” Vent Rib

Choke:  The barrel is threaded for interchangeable chokes. Currently installed is an Improved Modified choke.

Sights / Optics:  There is a brass bead mounted to the checkered vent rib.  The top of the receiver is serrated for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are very nicely grained and finished checkered wood with a grooved forearm, semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and a Kick-EZ buttpad.  There is a compression on the bottom of the handguard.  The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber buttpad. The buttpad shows hardly any wear. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Blue & Black

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright. There is no erosion. There is some stubborn fouling in the midlength.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This gun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little signs of use. There is the faintest of operational wear. The receiver area is very clean. The screw heads are sharp and undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
