Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN” with an “NP” mark at the chamber. The right side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 81L BLR CALIBER 7MM REM MAG ONLY”.  The right side of the receiver is marked “23681NW327”.  The buttpad is marked, “BROWNING”.  Just in front of the mag release is marked, “NP”.

Barrel Length: 24”

Sights/Optics:  The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed into a ramped base that is screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square-notch screwed to the barrel.  The receiver is mounted with a Bushnell 4x-12x,40 Waterproof Scope.

Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is two-piece high gloss wood with checkered straight grip and forend, straight comb, Sling swivel under the buttstock, and rubber buttpad.  The front of the forend has a sling swivel. The stocks are largely free of any wear or damage.  There are a couple scratches and compression marks.  There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. Overall, the stocks rate in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is slightly dulled. There is some erosion in the bore mainly near the muzzle.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish.  There are little to no signs of any handling or operational wear.  There are some faint scratches on the receiver.   The Screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good condition.  Please see photos for a better understanding of this rifle’s condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
