Markings: The left side of the trunnion is marked, “VZ2008 SPORTER VZ04742”. The left side of the receiver is marked, “CENTURY ARMS, INC. / GEORGIA, VT / CAL 7.62 X 39MM”. The right side of the receiver is marked, “S” and “F” around the safety selector.
Barrel Length: 16.5” threaded. 17” with slanted muzzle brake. The muzzle brake is very tight to the muzzle.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable hooded post sight with bayonet lug underneath. The rear sight is an adjustable leaf sight with sliding elevator.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is the original wood impregnated Bakelite furniture also known as “Beaver Barf” in the U.S. The left side of the buttstock has a sling ring with the left side of the gas block has a small loop to attach a sling. The buttstock has a steel buttplate. The LOP measures 12.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are no chips or cracks. There are some light scratches that hide in the impregnated bakelite surface. The stock rates in Overall Excellent condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle comes with 6x 30rd original magazine with 2 mag pouches. All of the magazines rate in Very Good condition with minor operation and storage wear. The leading edges are sharp and the springs are strong.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There appears to be no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This VZ.58 type rifle is in Excellent Condition. It retains 99% of its metal finish. There are some light scratches here and there but nothing that is easily noticeable. The action is smooth, the trigger is crisp, the furniture is tight to the receiver.
