Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “1986 S-BBY2465”. The left side of the trunnion is marked with a orange painted “G”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “S-BY2465” and “CG1 / 7.62×39 / Childers Guns / Fairmont WV”. The left side of the trigger is marked “TAPCO USA / G2”. There are some proof marks on the dong.
Barrel Length: 16.25” threaded with slant muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post with protective wings. The rear sight is a u-notch tangent leaf sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This is a modern Childers Guns receiver assembled with a complete Romanian “Romy G” kit. The buttstock and two piece handguard are wood and the pistol grip is checkered bakelite. The Romy G has its iconic “Dong” lower handguard with its integrated wood foregrip. The buttplate has a trap door for cleaning kit storage. (No cleaning kit included).
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 4x 30rd AK47 Magazines all in Very Good-Excellent condition. Two are East German and the other two might be Romanian. The magazines come with a Mag Pouch.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp. There is some spotted corrosion on the dust cover as well as some light scratches. The Safety Lever Line is well defined. There are light storage marks all around typically from import. This rifle is in about Fine-Excellent overall Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a total of 4 magazines, a mag pouch, and a Type II Bayonet Romanian Bayonet and scabbard marked “DL 3457” and “DL 2630”. The blade has some sheathing wear and the edge has some nicks. The bayonet rates in Good condition.
Our Assessment: The Romy G’s were originally Romanian Patriotic Guard (Garda) AK’s. They were known as the Romanian PM-63 AKM before they were modified to semi-automatic configurations for import to the U.S. or imported as simple parts kits. The G’s were rarely ever fired before import and featured everything you would want in a Kalashnikov style rifle including a Chrome Lined Hammer Forged barrel. Built on the traditional Kalashnikov-style rifles, this firearm can become a simple defense tool, your trusty hunting rifle, or just a sweet range toy.
