Markings: The left of the barrel is marked “1865 –APPOMATTOX COMMEMORATIVE MODEL– 1965”. The top of the barrel is marked “COLT’S PT. FA. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.”. The right of the barrel is marked “COLT SINGLE ACTION FRONTIER SCOUT 22 L.R.”. The left of the frame is marked with a rampant colt in a circle. The bottom of the frame, forward of the grip frame, is marked “1116AK”. The left of the trigger guard is marked “VP” and “P”. The butt of the grip frame has scroll engraving.
Barrel Length: 4 3/4″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter-round blade fixed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch in the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood with silver colored Colt medallions. The grips only a few scattered minor marks including some micro nicks and a shallow compression and a few micro scuffs. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some storage scuffs on the cylinder. There are scratches and thinning on the muzzle. The side loading gate and port have finish loss around the edges. The cylinder pin screw head is lightly tool marked with a strong slot, the other screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a wood Colt Appomattox Commemorative presentation case. The case has some good storage wear on the edges as well as some compression marks on all sides. The latch has some finish loss on the end but maintains full function.
