Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COLT M1991A1™”. The right side of the slide is marked “COMMANDER MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and the serial number. The barrel is marked “-COLT 45 AUTO-”. The right side of the trigger guard is marked “5” on the front bow. The left side of the trigger guard has the “VP” proof at the rear and “A” at the front. The front sight is marked “MH3”. The rear sight is a “TRU DOT”.

Sights / Optics: The aftermarket tritium night sights consist of a front dotted blade and a rectangular notch sight at the rear dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black synthetic panels. The left grip has been slightly shaved down for easier access to the safety. There are a good amount of handling marks, scratches, and scuffs. The grip screws are tool marked a good amount. The checkering is sharp with only a few lightly dulled peaks. There are no rips or tears. The grips are in about Good condition. The front strap has been grip taped.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 90% of its finish. There is some thinning on the edges. There are a few scattered rubs and scuffs that have thinned the finish. There are light handling marks. The screw heads are worn but still serviceable, the markings are clear. There are scratches throughout. Overall, this pistol rates in about Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
