Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked, “COLT AR-15 PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVT. M16A1 CAL 5.56MM SERIAL 761079V / COLT’S PATENT FIRE ARMS HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A. MFG. CO / SAFE FIRE AUTO”. There are some proofs on the right side of the upper receiver near the front of the carry handle.
Barrel Length: 20” Pencil Profile. 21” with A1 Flash Hider
Sights / Optics: The front sight is A1-style post and the rear sight is an A1 style L-type flip aperture in the carry handle.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This is an A1 style M16. The Handguard is an A1 triangular polymer full length handguard. The pistol grip is an A1 checkered polymer grip. The buttstock is an E1 style buttstock with a rubber buttpad. Teardrop forward assist. The LOP measures 12.9” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering on the grip is crisp. The bolt stop has been disabled as it has been replaces with a CA comp mag release lever. There are some light scratches on the handguard and buttstock. The rear takedown pin has been replaced with a Juggernaut tactical compliant mag disconnect pin for the mag release.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows scratches on the receivers and carry handle. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition. There is a good amount of finish loss on the rear of the ejection port. Please see photos for a better understanding of this rifle’s condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The rear pin has been replaced with a Juggernaut Tactical compliant takedown/mag release pin. Button must be pushed to separate the receiver in order to allow the mag release button to function as per normal. The spring is missing from the pin and needs to be replaces or the pin entirely to restore to proper functionality.
