Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Vigil”. The chamber is marked “.45ACP” and “MATCH”. The right side of the frame is marked “DAN WESSON FIREARMS NORWICH NY U.S.A.” and “2105291”. The grip panels are marked “DW” in a circle.

Sights / Optics: This pistol is equipped with Ameriglo night sights. The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp that is dovetailed to the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two tritium lamps that is dovetailed to the slide. The lamps hold a decent glow in low light levels.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth cocobolo panels with textured portions. The front and back strap are textured. The grips show light handling wear and there are no significant imperfections. There are no chips or cracks. The texturing is crisp. Overall, the panels rate in about Excellent condition.
Type of Finish: ‘Black Duty’
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10. There is some minor fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The finish shows no significant wear or damage. There is operation wear on the chamber. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original serial matching hard case with paperwork including the manual, moisture absorbent paper, chamber lock and keys, and two 8-round magazines.
