Our Assessment:  All right guys, let’s get into it.  This is a DPMS A-15 rifle with a stainless steel bull barrel and a drop-in trigger but last but not least a Weaver Grand Slam Scope. This is a pretty sweet rifle that’s perfect for a variety of applications, including target shooting, hunting, and home defense.

Let’s talk about the stainless steel bull barrel first. This thing is designed to be thicker and heavier than a standard barrel, which helps to reduce recoil and improve accuracy. Plus, the stainless steel construction makes it more resistant to corrosion and wear, which means it will last longer and require less maintenance over time.

The drop-in trigger is another awesome feature of this rifle. It’s designed to be easy to install and adjust, so you can fine-tune the trigger pull to your individual preferences. And let me tell you guys, having a good trigger can make a world of difference in accuracy and precision.

ST CLOUD.MN U.S.A. / SAFE FIRE” behind the bolt catch.  Both sides of the buttstock are marked, “MAGPUL INDUSTRIES CORP PRS CAGE 1LX50”.  Both sides of the grips are marked, “HOGUE GRIPS”.  The right side of the charging handle housing is marked with a KeyHole Forge Mark.  The bottom of the barrel is marked, “DPMS CAL .223 1-9”.  The left side of the scope is marked, “WEAVER”.  The right side of the scope is marked “ROCKY MOUNTAIN ELK FOUNDATION Working For Wildlife”.  Inside the objective lens of the scope is marked, “WEAVER / GRAND SLAM / 4.5-14X40MM”.

Sights / Optics:  The top of the receiver has a picatinny rail for all your favorite sights and optics.  The picatinny rail is mounted with a WEAVER GRAND SLAM 4.5-14X40MM Scope.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The buttstock is a Magpul Precision Rifle Buttstock with adjustable LOP and comb height, sling bar, and rubber buttpad.  The pistol grip is a pillar bedded rubber overmolded grip with finger grooves. The handguard is a fluted round aluminum handguard.  The LOP measures 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Black anodized with FDE buttstock and grip.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a loose storage mark on the left and right side of the receiver, some finish loss on the brass deflector, and some wear on the barrel.  The screw heads are clear and markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
