Our Assessment: If you’re looking for a cool gun that offers reliability and serious power in one unit, then you’ve found the right listing! The SCAR (Special Operations Combat Assault Rifle) is a direct result of the US military’s search for a versatile battle rifle that was easy to use and extremely dependable. FN has the bragging rights for being one of the main producers of military AR-type rifles for the United States, so they know a few things when it comes to adapting their designs to civilian markets. This firearm comes with multiple customization options; from the folding buttstock to the picatinny rails, you can really make this gun your own. Whether you’re looking for reliable performance, ease of use, or (and this is our favorite) the ability to shoot a target through a car door, this firearm offers all of that and more to its users. We really can’t say enough about this awesomely accurate and specced out firearm, but we’ll end this assessment on “bid on it and make it yours!” It is extremely clean and as far as I can tell, New In Box. Markings: Left side of the receiver marked “FNH USA FREDERICKSBURG VA” above the magazine well. Behind the colt catch is marked “FN HERSTAL BELGIUM SCAR 17S cal. 7.62×51” and the serial number “HC20569” is to the right of that along with a silver barcode. “S” and “1” marked next to the ambidextrous safety selector switch on both sides. Bottom of the muzzle device marked “PAT PEND.” and the top bears the FNH logo. Both sides of the adjustable buttstock are marked with numbers “1-6”. Top of the barrel is marked “7.62×51 1:12”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable flip up hooded post and the rear sight is an adjustable L-type flip up aperture. A full length picatinny rail allows for custom scopes mounts.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a synthetic adjustable folding buttstock with an adjustable cheek rest and rubber buttpad. The pistol grip is a standard checkered and serrated A2 pistol grip with. It has a MIL-STD 1913 rail for optics across the entire top, along with three accessory rails on the forend. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fully extended buttstock. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is little to no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some wear to the picatinnies as well as a few small scratches on the left and right side of the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The cheek rest and buttstock adjust appropriately. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition. This rifle appears to have never been fired or fired very little outside of factory testing. There are still traces of factory grease on the receiver. There are some box particles on the rifle from storage in its original factory box.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This SCAR 17S comes with its original Factory Box and Shipping Box as well as its original factory accessory box which included one 20rd SCAR 7.62 NATO magazine, Owner’s Manual, and an FNH Chamber Lock with Keys.
