Markings: Left side of the receiver is marked, “SM 20166”, “FEG” inside a hexagonal outline, “SA 85M CAL. 7.62x 39 SEMI AUTOMATIC MADE IN HUNGARY K.B.I. INC. HARRISBURG, PA”.  The rear sight is marked, “1-8” and “A”.   The rear of the dust cover is marked “166”.  The left side of the bolt carrier is marked “SM 20166”.

Barrel Length: 16.25”.  17.5 with thread adapter and slant muzzle brake.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post between two protective ears and the rear sight is an adjustable tangent U-Notch leaf sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The furniture set is wood.  The buttstock has a trap door for a cleaning kit storage compartment (empty) in the metal buttplate. The sling and base is missing from the bottom of the buttstock.  The handguards are two piece with a sling ring on the left side of the nose cap.The pistol grip is a Strike Industries polymer Finned Grip.  The LOP measures 12.25 from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear on the right side of the receiver by the safety selector lever. The screw heads and pins are in great condition. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
