Our Assessment: This is a nice example of an early to mid-18th century North American trade gun that is reminiscent of those that would have been used on the early American frontier. Its lock is from L&R and it has an interesting serpentine pattern of brass on the left side lock plate area. This would make a fine addition to any American contemporary flintlock collection. Please see our photos for a better understanding of the flintlock and its condition.
