The right side of the receiver is marked “SAFE FIRE”. The right side of the carry handle has a KeyHole Forge Mark. The right side of the gas block is marked “FO1 R1 1”. The buffer tube is marked “GEISSELE AUTOMATICS”. The trigger guard is marked “B5”.
Barrel Length: 20” threaded. 21” with muzzle brake.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an A2 style adjustable post. The rear sight is an adjustable dual aperture sight in the carry handle.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a collapsible polymer waffle style M4 stock with sling slot, sling ring, and checkered buttplate. The pistol grip is an A1 Grip. The handguard is an A1 triangular handguard. The LOP measures approximately 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate at full extension. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering on the grip is dulled. There are scratches and scuffs on the grip. The handguard has a couple small scuffs.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 30rd 5.56 PMAG in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows mild operation wear. There is some brass build up on the case deflector. There are some scuffs on the outside of the barrel. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This particular SD-556 has seen a blend of the new and the old with the addition of an A1 handguard and grip.
