The stock and sight are described below.
Barrel Length: Approximately 24 Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a fully adjustable National Match aperture sight. The windage knob is marked “LEFT arrow” twice and “DRC”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The hardwood stock has a traditional pistol grip, metal nosecaps, stacking loop, two sling loops and a metal buttplate with hinged metal door for storage in the buttstock. There are little to no scratches on the stock. The LOP measures 13 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Finish Originality: Refurbished
Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is some very minor fouling in some of the grooves.
Overall Condition: The rifle retains about 99% of its finish. There is operational wear on the barrel from the op-rod and some light wear forward of the handguard. The edges of the trigger guard show light thinning and has some scratches and scrapes. The action shows light operational wear. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a Custom Match Slings Leather sling in Excellent Condition.
Our Assessment:This Harrington & Richardson Arms M1 Garand was made back between 1954-1956. It uses many Harrington & Richardson parts with a mix of Springfield parts as well as having a newer barrel that is in Excellent condition. This is a highly collectible rifle that is ideal for a Garand collection. Good Luck!
