Markings: The right side of the magwell is marked, “Made in Germany / HK Inc / Arl. Va. 22201”. The left and right side of the safety selector is marked, “0” and “1”. The left side of the magwell is marked, “HK 91 A036480 Cal. .308” with a couple proof marks including the manufacture code, “IB” for 1981. The top of the charging handle is marked, “2IB”. The left side of the buttstock between the two takedown pins is marked, “232”.
Barrel Length: 18”. 19” with birdcage flash hider
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post. The rear sight is an adjustable diopter drum marked 2 3 4.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture on this G3 battle rifle is a G3/HK91 wood stock set. The pistol grip is wood with finger grooves and thumb rest. The handguard is wood with front cap and appropriate finger grooves and vent holes. The buttstock is wood/fixed with a Pachmayr Competition Rubber buttpad. The LOP measures 16” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. The stock rates in about Fine+ overall condition. There is a minor shallow nick on the left side of the handguard and an impression mark on the bottom left side. The pistol grip is very clean.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its blue-gray finish. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. There is finish loss on and below the ejection port and around the edges of the scope mounts. There is some finish loss on the top of the receiver and around the edges of the magwell. The charging handle slide also has finish loss from the action. Overall, this vintage rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
