Markings: The left side of the magwell is marked “G003358”. The right side of the magwell is marked “HESSE / ST. PAUL. MN / MODEL H91 / 7.62mm”. Both sides of the receiver are marked “SF” for the selection options. The barrel is marked “.308 ASSEMBLED BY CAI ST ALB VT”, “CETME”. The bolt is marked “RA3817” in electric pencil. The top of the bolt is marked “HK91”.
Barrel Length: 18”. 20” with flash hider.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post. The rear sight is an adjustable diopter drum marked 2 3 4.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock on this G3 type battle rifle is a G3/HK91 wood buttstock with a sling well. The pistol grip is polymer with thumb rest and finger grooves. The handguard is vented wood with finger grooves. The LOP measures 14.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition. There is some general wear including some light scratches on the heel and toe of the buttplate, some finish loss on the buttstock and minor compressions.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two 20rd 7.62×51 Magazines. One is aluminum black and the other is steel bodied. Both magazines rate in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some light visible corrosion in the bore and fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 80% of its finish. The screw heads and pins show some tooling. The markings are clear. There is finish loss around the ejection port. There is moderate operation wear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Good condition. It is worth noting that Hesse rifles are notorious for being harsh on brass. There are some scuffs and white paint on the flash hider.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly but is harsh on brass. We have test fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
