Markings:  The barrel is marked “ITHACA GUN CO., ITHACA N.Y.-PATENT NO. 1849982-MODEL-37”, “16 GA.-2 ¾ CHAMBER”, “MOD”, “PROOF TESTED”.  The bottom of the barrel is marked with the serial number “70778”.  Both sides of the receiver are engraved.  The buttpad is marked “ITHACA GUN CO.INC”.  The front of the receiver is marked “70778” and “R”.

Barrel Length: 28”

Choke: MOD, Fixed.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead set on the barrel’s solid rib.  The top of the rib is checkered.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The pump grip is checkered walnut. The walnut buttstock has a checkered semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and serrated buttplate. The forend has some scattered little nicks, scuffs, scrapes, and scratches. The buttstock has some scattered scuffs and light handling marks. There are scratches and scuffs along with handling marks on the buttstock. The checkering is semi crisp with some dulling on the peaks and some other marred areas. The LOP measures about 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate.  There are no chips or cracks in the wood stocks. There are some compression marks.  Overall, the stocks are in about Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no visible erosion.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 75% of its metal finish. There are some scattered scuffs, nicks, and scratches. There is some operation wear on the mag tube.  The edges have thinning.  The action shows light operational wear. The screw heads are lightly tool marked. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in about Very Good condition for C&R.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly.  The shotgun ejects out the bottom of the receiver. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
