Our Assessment:  Nothing is cooler than guns and motorcycles.  Iver Johnson specialized in manufacturing both.  Created by someone with an affinity for cool bikes and awesome guns, Iver johnson began creating copies of original weapons worthy of recreation such this M1 Carbine.  The M1 carbine was revolutionary for U.S. forces during WW2 as it was lightweight and carried most of the same capabilities infantry rifles brought to the table of war. This particular Iver Johnson is from their early days in New Jersey.  Claim this Iver Johnson M1 carbine today for an authentic WW2 M1 carbine feel that most modern reproductions miss entirely.  Please see our photos, specs below, and good luck on your bid!

Markings: The top of the receiver is marked, “IVER JOHNSON NJ” and “U.S. CARBINE CAL. 30 M1”.  The left side of the receiver is marked, “AA41773A”.

Sights / Optics: The rear sight is an adjustable sliding aperture sight.  The front sight is a fixed post between two protective outward arching ears.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The body of the stock is wood, and the upper handguard is made from vented metal.  The stock features a traditional smooth pistol grip, sling well/slot, metal checkered buttplate, and sling ring on the left side of the barrel band.   This stock rates in Fine Condition overall. There are some light scratches throughout with a few very shallow compression marks.  There are no chips or cracks.  The metal buttplate has some wear on the heel and toe.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifle is fairly sharp.  There are no signs of erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its original blued finish.  There are some scuffs and scrapes on the barrel as well as some light scratches throughout. The vented handguard has some light spotted corrosion in a couple places.  The rotating bolt shows operation wear.   The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear.  Overall, this rifle rates in Very Good Condition.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with an attached Nylon Green Sling and a 15 round IA USGI magazine in Fine Condition.
