Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “99 1057253 SAGA 7,62 / 7,62×39 MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH” with several proofs. The right side of the receiver is marked “KALASHNIKOV – USA / Pt St. Lucie, Fl, USA”. The bolt carrier is marked “253” with a Russian Proof. Rear sight is marked “1-3”. The right side of the front sight is marked, “26-5”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post, and the rear sight is an adjustable tangent “u” notch leaf sight. The left side of the receiver has a scope rail mounted with a POSP 4x24T Belarus Scope.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is two piece synthetic polymer with checkered semi-pistol grip, smooth buttplate, and handguard with appropriate hand swells. The bottom of the stocks have sling rings. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The left side of the receiver has a mounting rail for Kalashnikov style scopes and optics. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some faint drag lines on the stocks. The checkering is intact with minor handling wear.

Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright. The grooves are dark with fouling and carbon buildup. There is no visible erosion in the bore. There is fouling in the grooves. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 6.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp. There is some minor operation wear. This rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
