Markings: The left side of the trunnion is marked with a circled 11, “1968 GR11289”.    Bottom of the receiver is marked “JRAK 47 / JAMES RIVER / ARMORY / BALTIMORE, MD / CAL. 7.62X39MM / SN: GR11289”.  The rear sight is marked “1-10” and “S” for the battle position.  The rear of the dust cover is marked “1289”.  The left side of the lower handguard is marked “KAO2819”.  The right side of the receiver is marked “C P”. The left side of the carrier is marked “11289” with several proofs.  The left side of the recoil lug is marked “11289”.

Barrel Length: 16” threaded. 17” with fixed Slant Muzzle Brake

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post between two protective ears, and the rear sight is an adjustable tangent “u” notch.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The buttstock is a fixed hardwood stock with sling ring and metal buttplate with trap door for cleaning kit storage (not included).  The pistol grip is a checkered brown “bakelite”. The handguard is wood with hand swells and nose cap with left sided sling loop.  The LOP measures 12.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate.  There are no chips or cracks.  The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.  There are a few small compression marks. The bottom of the gas block has a bayonet lug.  The stocks have mild handling wear, normal for being a surplus kit.  There are no chips or cracks.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 30rd 7.62×39 magazine in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.  In my opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some little to no operation wear from when it was built. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp. Overall this rifle is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
