Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “914”, “914”, “4946” and the Nagoya Arsenal mark. The top of the receiver has a very faint Chrysanthemum and Type Two in Japanese Characters. The bolt handle and extractor are both marked “946”. The captive take down pin is marked with “914”. The bayonet lug is marked “632”. The left side of the barrel and barrel clever joint metal are both marked “914”. The barrel lug is marked “946”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an inverted white painted “V” post set between two protective ears. The rear sight ladder has a fixed aperture when down and a sliding aperture when flipped up. The ladder is marked from “3 – 15”. There are AA Sights wings installed and are marked “2 – 3”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The hardwood stock has a semi-pistol grip, finger grooves, nose cap with bayonet lug, cleaning rod, barrel band, two sling loops, a full length wood top handguard and a metal buttplate. There are compression marks, scuffs, scratches, and fill marks throughout the entire surface of the wood. There is also a chip behind the right side of the bayonet lug and a second chip just below the rear sights on the right side, both have been covered with stain. Just below the action on the left side of the stock there are two small drilled holes. The back left side of the stock has a 2 inch surface crack. The LOP measures 12.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in about Good overall condition for C&R.

Finish Originality: original.
Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright with defined rifling and little visible erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 60% of its original finish. All of the metal surfaces have small dings, surface scratches, and rub wear. Some of the metal has begun to patina, specifically the bottom metal and butt plate. There is also wear on the friction points of the bolt and receiver. Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
