Markings: Right side of the receiver is marked with a Kalashnikov USA logo, as well as “S” and “F”. Inside of the trigger guard is marked “Kalashnikov USA Pompano Bch FL USA KR-9 9X19 K9C0010704”. The pistol grip is marked, “KALASHNIKOV USA”. The top picatinny rail is marked, “1-11” and the rear sight is marked, “5-20”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post sight within two protective wings. The rear sight is an adjustable leaf sight. There is a picatinny rail for all your favorite sights and optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a Vityaz SMG style triangular stock. The buttplate is equipped with a rubber removable buttpad. The LOP measures 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the stock with pad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Our Assessment: This Rifle is a very unusual offering when it comes to AK-Pattern weapons. The KR-9, manufactured by Kalashnikov USA, is basically the U.S. Commercialized version of the Vityaz PP-19 SMG. The Vityaz is a 9mm SMG used by Russia’s Spetznas forces. The KR-9 features some nice modern amenities, including a picatinny customization, bulk amount of magazines, and a beautiful folding stock. If you’re looking for an excellent trainer for your AK collection that uses cheaper ammo than your mainline rifles, this is a solid option. Alternatively, if you want a cool addition to your AK lineup that most collectors may not have seen, the KR-9 is a perfect way to change things up!
