Our Assessment: Kalashnikov USA is a firearms manufacturer based in Pompano Beach, Florida, that specializes in producing AK-style rifles and shotguns for the American market. The company was founded in 2015 and is a subsidiary of the Russian company, Concern Kalashnikov, which is best known for designing the AK-47, one of the most widely used assault rifles in the world.
Kalashnikov USA produces a variety of AK-style rifles and shotguns, including the KS-12, which is a 12-gauge shotgun based on the AK design, and the KR-9, which is a 9mm pistol-caliber carbine. The company also produces a line of accessories for its firearms, including magazines, grips, and stocks.
Since its founding, Kalashnikov USA has faced some challenges in bringing its products to market, particularly with respect to obtaining necessary government approvals and certifications. Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked, “KR103 7.62X39 K3R0005358 KALISHNIKOV USA POMPANO BEACH FL USA”. The tang is marked with a 2. The Oversized charging handle cap is marked with the Kalashnikov USA logo. The right side of the front sight is marked with a “2” as well as on the left side of the gas block.
Barrel Length: 16.25” 18.5” with removable muzzle device.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post sight within two protective wings. The rear sight is an adjustable leaf sight. There is a picatinny rail for all your favorite sights and optics.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The 3 piece furniture set is wood with fixed buttstock, smooth wood pistol grip, and 2 piece handguard. Has a cleaning rod under the barrel. The left side of the receiver has its Kalashnikov scope mount. The left side of the receiver has X Y stamps and dimple. This buttstock has no buttplate and is rounded wood. There are no chips or cracks. The back of the buttstock has some scuffs and dents. The LOP measures 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the stock. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 1x 10rd AK/AKM PMAG in Excellent condition and still sealed in its original packaging.
