Our Assessment: Alright, folks, let’s talk about the Desert Eagle Mark XIX .50 AE, a pistol that’s earned its reputation as an absolute powerhouse.

Now, first things first – this thing is big. I mean, seriously big. It’s not the kind of pistol you’d want to conceal carry or shoot for hours on end, but when it comes to sheer stopping power, this thing is hard to beat.

The Desert Eagle has a gas-operated rotating bolt system, which helps to manage recoil and improve accuracy. It’s got a 6-inch barrel and a total length of over 10 inches, making it one of the biggest pistols out there.

But let’s talk about the .50 AE round – this thing is a beast. It’s a massive cartridge, capable of delivering over 1,500 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle. And when you fire it through the Desert Eagle, you can feel every bit of that power.

This model also has a weaver rail for mounting scopes, so if you feel sporty enough and like sniping from the hand, then this pistol is perfect. And the full-size grips are designed to help you maintain control, even when firing such a powerful round.

Markings: Right side of the slide is marked “MAGNUM RESEARCH INC. MINNEAPOLIS MINN. MADE IN ISRAEL”  The right side of the frame is marked “30201375”.  The left side of the slide is marked “®DESERT EAGLE .50 AE PISTOL  / .44 MAG ISRAEL MILITARY INDUSTRIES LTD (I.M.I)”.   The left side of the barrel is marked “.50 AE”.  The silver 50AE mag is marked “4-7” on the magazine windows, as well as “5-95 50”.  The sides of the grip have the IMI Logos molded into the textured polymer.

Barrel Length:  6” from the end of the barrel to the bolt locking lugs, 6 ?” from the end to end.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade dovetailed to the barrel.   The rear sight is a rectangular open notch dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are polymer textured for extra very well needed grip support. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition. There are no signs of handling wear.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 7rd .50AE Desert Eagle magazine in Excellent condition.  The spring is strong and the leading edges are sharp.  The follower is pristine.  The right side has a rub mark from being inserted into the magwell.

Type of Finish: Steel, Nickel.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition:  This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish.   There are no visible blemishes on this pistol.  The screw heads are sharp and the markings are clear.  Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
