Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece High Gloss checkered High Grade walnut with a full pistol grip, straight fluted comb, checkered traditional forend, and Black Plastic Browning buttplate. The wood on this shotgun appears to have been replaced by Browning. There is an excellent chance that the original wood was Browning salt wood. The finish on the stock has some very fine surface lines that are only visible in the right lighting. There is an extremely small dent in the heel of the stock just in front of the butt. The LOP measures 14.25” from the trigger to the rear of the buttpad. The forend has the same fine lines in the high gloss finish and an extremely small chip on the right side rear of the wood where it locks into the metal. The checkering is sharp. Overall, the stocks are in about Very Good to Excellent condition as C&R. Please take a close look at the photos to better understand the Wood on this shotgun.

Type of Finish: Blued and Coin / French Gray.

Finish Originality: Original.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mirror bright with only minor lines and no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.5/10.

Overall Condition:  This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The right side of the barrels towards the muzzle have a few small patches of surface rust, and a couple scratches. There is some wear from where the forend rubs on the barrel. The left side of the barrel set also has some small rust freckling patches toward the muzzle. All of the engraved surfaces are not only beautiful but in Like New condition. The shotgun overall is in Very Good to Excellent for C&R given its age.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly including the ejectors. The shotgun features a single selective trigger. The forend is the Browning Non removable style forend. There is zero movement between the barrels and frame. The safety does NOT set automatically when the action is opened but functions properly when manually set. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes a cleaning cloth, oil, and a Browning Leather Lockable Field Case with keys.
