Our Assessment: The MPA1T-A MAC-10 Carbine is a wonderful little piece produced by MasterPiece Arms, Inc. It is a variation of the traditional MAC-10 submachine gun, which was originally designed in the 1960s as a compact, fully automatic weapon that was critically acclaimed to be effective only in a phone booth for its almost absurd fire rate and recoil. The MPA1T-A MAC-10 Carbine is not so much a tamed version of the notorious MAC-10 with its semi-auto closed bolt system, but with a rifle barrel and buttstock, it is a configuration that controls the power and effectiveness of this unique system.
The MPA1T-A MAC-10 Carbine features a rifle barrel and stock, which make it more versatile than the original MAC-10. It is chambered for the 45 ACP cartridge and has a 30-round magazine capacity standard. The firearm is made using state-of-the-art CNC machining, turning, laser cutting, and bending, and all internals are CNC machined and quality checked for the highest tolerances.

Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked, “MasterPiece Arms ™ / 45 ACP / Braselton, GA / A9316 / SAFE / FIRE”.
Barrel Length: 16.75”. 19” with removable muzzle device.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a post made of a bent up piece of metal and the rear sight is a fixed peep integrated with the back of the receiver. The charging handle has a groove to allow target acquisition with the sights without obstruction.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a polymer skeleton stock with serrated rear integrated buttplate and is screwed to the bottom of the receiver. The Magazine well serves as a pistol grip with a polymer backstrap. The bottom of the backstrap locates the mag release lever. The right side of the receiver has a finger safety switch. The chamber of the barrel has an aluminum checkered handguard attached to the front of the receiver. The LOP measures 15” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttstock. The trigger has a rubber cap over it for a more comfortable trigger pull. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is no handling wear on the buttstock or handguard. There are some loose storage marks on the handguard.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 93% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some light scratches. There is some erosion on the flash hider. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This MAC-10 Carbine comes with one 30rd parkerized magazine in Very Good condition. The leading edges are mostly sharp and the spring is strong.
