Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “275 RIGBY”.  The right side of the receiver is marked “M  5316”.  The right side of the barrel is marked “7×57”.

Barrel Length: 23 ½”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade in-line dovetailed to a banded base at the front of the barrel. The base has a textured ramp and is grooved for a hood, but none is present. The rear sight is a Lyman Receiver Sight with Target Knobs 57SMET.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece checkered wooden sportster with rubber buttpad.  It is a fluted, straight comb with cheek piece, and metal capped semi pistol grip.  Sling stud on the belly and one on the barrel.  The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock is in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 75% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows fading along the barrel and the receiver. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Great condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
