Action Type: Semi-Automatic Short-Recoil Pistol with an Internal Magazine fed by stripper clips.
Markings: The top of the chamber is marked “WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A/N”. The left shoulder of the chamber and top of the charging handle have a crowned U. The bottom of the barrel is marked “CAL 7.63 GER / C.A.I. ST ALB VT” with some proofs under the chamber marked “B / A / 1” with another that is hard to make out. The right side of the frame is marked “WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A. NECKAR”. The sides of the grips are marked with a large “9” that is black in color. Not sure if the scales have fallen off or the 9 was covered. Please see photos.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade fixed by the muzzle. The rear sight is a tangent leaf marked to 1000 meters.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The matching grip panels are two-piece serrated wood. There is a lanyard ring fixed to the butt-strap. The grip panels have deep compression marks throughout. There are no cracks. Overall, the grip panels are in Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is slight erosion and light pitting present.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 50% of its finish. There is pitting on varying portions of the pistol on the receiver, frame, and barrel. The markings are legible. The screwhead is lightly tooled and remains serviceable. Overall, the pistol is in Very Good condition. Please see pictures for a better understanding of this pistol’s condition.
Mechanics: The rear of the grip is slotted for a shoulder stock and the bottom of the grip has a boss with a fixed lanyard ring. The action functions correctly. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The gun comes with a wood stock/holster (very nice modern reproduction in Excellent condition) and an original leather stock holster in Very Good condition. There are some minor cracks and compression marks but it’s very clean and well kept. It is marked “APH HOFFMANN 1916 BERLIN”. The holster houses a C96 Screwdriver and extra mag spring. This C96 pistol has some unique characteristics that may turn some heads upon close inspection. The grips if you look closely have a faint 9 painted on them. The barrel as well has been sleeved to 9mm Luger. Based on the serial number, this is an original 1930-1932 commercial pistol that was later converted to 9mm at some point in its life after import.
