Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with “NORINCO SKS M 7.62X39MM PTC S EL MONTE . CA MADE IN CHINA 94 63719”. On top of the bolt is another matching serial number, “63719”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post. The rear sight is a “U” notched sliding sight escalator marked from “1 – 10” and “3”.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is wood with a one-piece wood foreguard. This SKS configuration has a cleaning rod located underneath the barrel. The SKS-M accepts AK47 magazines. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock. The stock rates in about Good overall condition, with no visible flaws other than excess adhesive on the rubber stock and a few scratches on the right side of the buttstock.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its refurbished finish. The balance of the finish shows wear along the barrel and receiver. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The trigger pull is a little heavy but nothing a little grease can’t fix.

Our Assessment: The SKS platform is one of the most trending rifles on the market today. I honestly don’t know why, whether they are riding the waves of the AK47 world, videogame publicity, or just sought over by collectors looking for rifles that have increased in value tremendously over the last decade due to their banned import status. Regardless of the reason, the SKS is a rugged, durable, time tested, and beloved rifle. Built on a military grade receiver along with all its parts as Chinese Imports gloriously do, this rifle will make a wonderful new plinking machine at your next stop to the firing range. This particular SKS-M is in great condition, and will give you years of excellent service at the range! The AK47 detachable magazine configuration will make the experience all the more joyous than your typical fixed or duckbill mag SKS.
