Markings: The left side of the stock had no markings. The bottom left side contains the serial number “5757”.  The top top side of the barrel contains the markins “Parker Hale LTD. Birmingham, England”.  It also has 2 small logos as well towards the rear of the barrel.  The right side of the stock has the Parker Hale logo and the words “Enfeld 1858”.  The right side of the buttstock is stamped “Parker Hale LTD”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fixed sight post.. The rear sight is a two position ladder sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is seasoned walnut with solid brass furniture. The right side of the buttstock is labeled “PARKER/HALE LTD”in a circle. There are some scuffs, compressions and drag lines. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttstock.  Overall the stock rates in Fair condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The grooves are bright and lands and semi bright.  There is no erosion in the bore.

In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 8 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows some wear, scuffs and drag lines. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions properly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There is a ramrod stored under the barrel and a leather sling.
