Sights / Optics: The front sight is an A2 post sight. The rear sight is an A2 L-Type flip aperture.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a fixed skeleton stock with Soft Foam cheek rest and rubber buttplate. The Pistol grip is a standard checkered A2 grip. The Receiver is aluminum alloy. The handguard is full length A2 round ribbed free float polymer handguard. The LOP measures 13.75” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttstock. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition. There are some light scratches on the handguard. The checkering is crisp with some light wear on the peaks. There are no chips or cracks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light visible wear including some light scratches around the receiver. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine+ condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements. The Ambidextrous Bolt stop is located in front of the trigger behind the magwell. Features ambidextrous mag release.

Our Assessment: The predecessor to the LAR-8, the Bushmaster .308 is a true AR-10 with a unique feature as the BAR serialized (PreBan) rifles all used and were compatible with metric and/or inch pattern FAL magazines. Bushmaster has been synonymous for decades with law enforcement and military rifles and the Bushmaster .308 is no different. It is a mean powerhouse of a gun that sports the classic ArmaLite rifle aesthetic. This is a rifle that would make a great addition to any collection as it glows with a particular beauty as only preban rifles do. Good Luck!
