Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with “COLT AR-15 A2 GOV’T CARBINE CAL. 223 SER. LGC015803” with the Rampant Colt logo. Marked on left side receiver behind bolt catch “COLT’S MFG. CO. INC HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”, “SAFE”, and “FIRE”. The top of the barrel is stamped “CM P 5.56 NATO 1/7”. The right side of the front sight base is marked “D98 RI”. The right side of the receiver is marked “RESTRICTED MILITARY / GOVERNMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT / EXPORT USE ONLY”. The carrier is marked, “C” on the left side and the neck of the bolt head is marked, “MPXC”.

Barrel Length: 16”. 17.75”  with A2 Flash Hider

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post iron sight and the rear has an L-type flip peep sight. A2 Rear sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is synthetic with a ribbed handguard/forearm and case deflector. Checkered A2 synthetic pistol grip with an adjustable M4 buttstock. The top of the Handguard is mounted with a ProMag Picatinny Accessory Rail AR-15 A2 Handguard Mount. The LOP measures 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fully extended buttstock. There are some scratches on the buttstock and operation wear on the buffer tube. There are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Very Good overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows moderate-to-heavy scratches on both sides of the receiver, as well as around the magwell. The barrel has some scratches and there is some finish loss at the base of the case deflector.  The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear.  Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: It comes in a TG soft gun case, 1x magazine, and a Blackhawk! sling.
