Marked on left side receiver behind bolt catch “COLT’S PATENT FIREARMS HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” Marked with “SAFE” and “FIRE”. Bottom of the barrel is stamped “C MP B”. The Bolt Carrier is marked “C” and the neck of the Bolt Head is marked “MPC”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is post iron sight and the rear has an iron peep sight. A1 rear sights.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is synthetic with a triangular handguard/forearm and no case deflector. Checkered synthetic A1 pistol grip. There is some general wear along the surface of the handguard and fixed A1 Buttstock. The buttplate has a trapdoor for storage compartment. The LOP measures 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttplate. The stock rates in Fine overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 30rd aluminum Colt Magazine in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows scratches on the receivers and the barrel. There is a prominent scuff on the right side of the upper receiver. The screw heads are sharp with minor tooling marks, the pins are unmarred, and the markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition for an SP1 rifle.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: In beautiful condition that only pre-ban platforms can glow with, this AR-15 is the epitome of basic, but not in a bad way.
