Markings: Left side of the receiver is marked with Eagle Arms’ logo and “EAGLE ARMS INCORPORATED COAL VALLEY, IL CAL. 5.56 MM EA-15 SER 18810”. Marked “SAFE” and “FIRE” by the safety selector switch. Right side of the receiver is marked “FIRE” and “SAFE”. The left side of the buttstock is marked, “B”. Barrel is marked “A M” with the “P 5.56 NATO 1/9” cutoff. (The barrel markings are missing because the barrel was cut to be an SBR but was then fixed with an extended flash hider to meet 16” minimum regulations. The front of the magwell has an Eagle Arms White Stamp. The left side of the Red Dot sight is marked, “Aimpoint CompM 001790 Made in Sweden”. The lens caps are marked “Aimpoint”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an A2 post iron sight and the rear sight is an A2 style flip aperture sight in the carry handle. The top of the carry handle has a weaver rail adapter with an original Aimpoint Red Dot sight sight mounted. The sight picture is clear and the sight is fully serviceable.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a cast aluminum M4 style adjustable buttstock with sling loop and slot. The pistol grip is an standard A2 checkered polymer pistol grip. The Handguard is a carbine length round ribbed polymer black handguard. The LOP measures 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fully extended buttstock. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is little to no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear across the polymer of the buttstock and ribbed handguard. The screw heads are sharp and the pins unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition. There is a very light scuff on the left side of the lower receiver as well as some few light small scratches. Please see our photos for a better understanding of the rifle’s condition. The serial number is faded over the first three digits but it is still legible.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a soft case, unopened VARTA battery for the Red Dot Sight, extra Trigger/Hammer group, Nylon Sling, and a 10d CompMag in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: If you’re looking for high-quality AR builds, this EA-15 is worth your attention. A little history lesson: Eagle Arms would buy the Armalite name in 1996, after this firearm was made, and they would produce firearms under the Armalite name thanks to its brand recognition power. Around 2013, the company sold to a new group who then revived the Eagle Arms name to cover their new line of low-priced guns, not wanting Armalite’s name to be associated with a budget brand. This Eagle Arms EA-15, however, was made well before the Armalite acquisition and boasts the critically acclaimed quality that it seems only the original Eagle Arm rifles can boast. These firearms have solid parts and a reputation for reliability. This rifle will stay with you for life if you treat it right and makes for excellent performance. Of all the pre ban ArmaLite type rifles on the market, the Pre-Ban EA-15 specifically from the Coal Valley, IL plant, are acclaimed to be some of the highest quality AR builds on the market.
