Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “394291 Cal. .308 Win” with a proofmark and “C”. Rear of the left side of the receiver is marked “VALMET Tourulan Tehdas Jyvaskyla”. The pad on the buttstock is marked “VALMET Made in Finland”. The buttpad cover is marked, “SPENCO” on the right side. The top of the Scope Base is marked “VALMET”. The Bipod is marked B.M.F. ACTIVATOR HOUSTON TX77017”.
Barrel Length: 20.3″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable blade above a serrated ramp. The rear sight is a flip up rectangular notch sight. The dust cover has a ribbed scope mount on top that is mounted Valmet Scope Base and Rings with a Bushnell Banner Lite Site. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered wood with a padded buttpad, straight comb, checkered foregrip, and a traditional pistol grip. The stocks show little to no wear. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is crips with light dulling to the peaks. The LOP measures 14.25″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the additional buttpad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition for a preban rifle. The left side of the gas block has a sling ring as well as on the bottom of the buttstock. The slings are fitted with its original leather sling. The brass rivets have a good thick patina build up.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Total of 5 original Valmet .308 Win magazines. 3x 20rd magazines, 1x 10rd magazine, 1x 5rd magazine.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear. There is some corrosion visible on the bolt head. The screwheads are sharp and the pins are serviceable. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
