Our Assessment: Alright, guys, today we’re gonna talk about the PTR-91 PDWR pistol. Now, you might be familiar with the PTR-91 rifle, which is a civilian version of the iconic HK91 battle rifle that saw extensive use in the hands of soldiers and special forces around the world. The PTR-91 is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO and features a delayed roller-locked bolt system, which makes it incredibly reliable and accurate even in adverse conditions.
Now, the PTR-91 PDWR pistol is essentially a shortened version of the PTR-91 rifle, and as the name suggests, it’s a pistol. It’s chambered in the same 7.62x51mm NATO round as the PTR-91 rifle, and it also features the same roller-locked bolt system, so you know it’s gonna be just as reliable.

Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “PTR INDUSTRIES” on the magwell. Also marked “S” “F” next to the safety selector switch. The Right side of the magazine well is marked “PTR 91 PTR INDUSTRIES, INC. AYNOR, SC U.S.A. .308 CAL.”. The rear sight is marked “1-4”. The top of the receiver is marked, “DK04930”. The left side of the handguard has an M LOK logo and “PTR”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded CETME post. The top of the receiver has claw mounts for optics as well as a picatinny rail. The rear sight is an adjustable diopter drum.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The pistol grip is polymer and integral to the frame. The handguard is a 5.5” MLOK rail for all your favorite attachments and accessories. This is a pistol configuration of the PTR-91, the rear of the receiver has been capped and has a sling swivel attached. Paddle mag release. Hard Rubber charging handle. The grip rates in Excellent condition with no signs of handling wear.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: 1x G3 HK .308 Magazine in Very Good Condition. The springs are strong and the leading edges are mostly sharp. It is marked “G3FMP 6/68 1005-12-127-7057”.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no wear. There is still factory grease residing on the receiver and parts. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition. The Bolt head is exceptionally clean and it’s hard to tell if this has ever been fired outside of factory testing. Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
