Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “COLT LIGHT RIFLE / SACO, ME / MADE IN USA” with the Colt Rampant.  The left side of the barrel is marked “USE ONLY / .270 WIN.”.  The right side of the chamber is marked “SD”.  The right side of the receiver is marked “LR05502”.  The scope is marked “3X-9X COLT OPTICS”, “MADE IN U.S.A.”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a Colt Optics 3x-9x Rifle Scope. The sight picture is clear.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece black composite stock with semi-pistol grip, straight comb with cheek piece, 2 sling studs, and rubber buttpad.  There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the black rubber buttpad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There are a few shallow scrapes on the right side of the stock, formed, and buttstock.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no operation wear.  There are some marks on the edges of the polymer trigger guard.  The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories:  This rifle comes with its factory box, owner’s manual, after recall Colt paper, purchaser card, and bikini style rubber lens covers.
