Our Assessment:  The FN FNC was developed between 1975 and 1977.  After almost 10 years of revision it eventually found success in international markets. Indonesia was the first country to adopt the rifle, purchasing approximately 10,000 units for its air force in 1982. The Indonesian government then acquired a license for PT Pindad to manufacture the rifle for all branches of the armed forces. Sweden also held trials for the FNC, and after being impressed by its efficiency and utility, adopted a modified version for domestic production in 1986, naming it the Ak 5.

The FNC was finally adopted by the Belgian Armed Forces in 1989, replacing the FN FAL as the service-wide rifle after being issued in small numbers to airborne infantry units. The rifle is also used by the armed forces of Tonga.

There were about 6,000 units created in Semi-Auto configurations designated with .223 rem Sporter before 1989, most of which were then converted to fully automatic rifles by licensed gunsmiths.  This rifle is an original import in Excellent condition and will make a beautiful and rare addition to any collection or FN FAL arsenal.  Please see specs below and good luck!
