Our Assessment: Remington’s Rolling Block large frame military arms were in service from 1867 to 1918, spanning the American Civil War and World War One. The robust single-shot rifles are known for inherent accuracy and strength beyond the call of duty. The rifles were so successful that smaller framed variants were produced for sporting purposes. This is a No. 1 1/2 that was originally chambered for .22 caliber.  This will make a nice addition to a Remington collection or restoration project. Please see our photos and good luck! – L.S.
