Markings: Right side of the receiver marked “MADE BY C.N. ROMARM SA/CUGIR IN ROMANIA / IMPORTED C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT”, “S” and “F” by the safety lever. The left side of the receiver is marked “S1-80490-03” below the dust cover and “SAR 1 Cal. 7.62x39mm”. Receiver rear cap is marked “80490”. Top of the rear sight is marked “1-10” “P”. The left side of the Bolt Carrier is marked “80490”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post iron sight with protective wings. The rear sight is a “U” notched leaf sliding sight escalator.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is wood with a checkered synthetic pistol grip. The buttstock is a fixed wood stock with left side sling ring and metal buttplate. The two piece handguard is wood with hand swells. Side of the receiver has rails for adding your favorite Kalashikov sights and optics. The LOP measures 13” from the front of the trigger to the back of the fixed buttplate. The stock rates in about Fair overall condition. The buttplate has some scuffing on the edges. The buttstock is loose to the receiver.

Bore Condition: The bore is gray. There is corrosion and carbon buildup in the grooves. The bore rates in Fair condition.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 70% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows wear and light scratches on the receiver. There is thinning throughout. The screw heads are sharp and pins are serviceable. The markings are clear. There are some small nicks on the barrel under the pistol tube and in front of the handguard. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fair-Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with one 30rd Chinese Flat Back magazine in Good condition.
Our Assessment: Let’s go retro! This AK-47 clone offers modern style and slick technology all in one package. Built on Romanian parts imported and put together by CAI, these semi-automatic rifles are quality guns with a reputation for reliability and ease of use. This really is a great take on the classic Kalashnikov AK47. As it takes traditional AK furniture, you could look great while also having a reliable and effective gun for the range or home defense. It’s up to you, but you have to bid on it first! Though this rifle wasn’t born in the US, it sure does scream “AMERICA”. Add this to your arsenal and put some freedom downrange! -L.S.
